Queremos aprovechar esta oportunidad para expresar lo agradecidos que estamos por nuestros voluntarios, sin ustedes no podríamos ayudar a tanta gente como lo hacemos. También queremos expresar nuestra gratitud a nuestros financiadores, sin ustedes no podríamos perseguir nuestra pasión de ayudar a quienes lo necesitan. Gracias a la financiación de nuestros programas, pudimos ayudar a tantas personas en áreas como vivienda y beneficios, entre otras, mejorando así su calidad de vida. We would like to take this opportunity to express how thankful we are for our volunteers, without you we would not be able to help as many people as we do. We would also like to express our gratitude to our funders, without you we would not be able to pursue our passion to help those who need it. By funding our programs we were able to help so many people in areas like housing and benefits as well as many more thereby improving their quality of life, we hope to continue to work together in the future. Emotional abuse is an issue faced by millions of people everyday, but recognized by few. It is important to understand that anyone can be a victim of emotional abuse, and there are many different ways that emotional abuse presents itself in relationships. Emotional abuse is the term for psychological manipulation and domination within a relationship, a power imbalance between the people in the relationship that causes distress and discomfort in one or both of the members. The Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) estimated that 1 in 11 adults aged 18 to 74 years experienced emotional abuse before the age of 16 years (3.8 million people); this includes perpetrators aged 16 years or over only. This Friday, the 18 of March, is dedicated to the prevention and awareness of child exploitation. Current estimations hold that one in ten children will experience sexual abuse before they turn sixteen, the equivalent to three in every classroom. Child sexual abuse in England involves forcing or enticing a child or young person to take part in sexual activities, not necessarily involving a high level of violence, whether or not the child is aware of what is happening, according to the British government. 1 in 10 children will experience abuse before they turn 16
