Community social media + IT Services project

Picture
The purpose of this project is to help our 1000+ users and the wider community in London to have a digital identity and help them adapt to life in the United Kingdom.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, many benefit applications became digital, forcing everyone everyone to develop their I.T skills in order to survive in the new digital age. Nowadays, IT skills are needed for everyday tasks such as making  appointments, sending emails or using social media.

For most young people everything to do with their phones or internet is second nature, downloading apps to filling out forms on their phones is easy. Unlike the 90% of LADPP users which is made up of people who are 40+, this gap is more than just the language barrier, the digital side of it is just as essential to be able to cope with living in the UK.

5% of our users do not have  a smartphone.
50% use WhatsApp and no other social media.
60% do not know how to send or get access to an email.
These percentages show how dire the need was to close this ever growing digital gap.
