community food bank support

Community Food Bank

Margy Puentes + Elizabeth Santacruz
Between April 2023 and March 2024, LADPP supported our community by helping to deliver 447 food parcels from food banks across London. In addition, we assisted 350 users in applying for free food vouchers and referred 240 individuals to other services within our organization to help meet their wider needs.

LADPP’s Food Bank Referral Service collaborates with various community organizations in London and beyond to provide vital food support to individuals and families experiencing hardship. We work closely with trusted partners, including Food Action and other food aid networks, to issue emergency food vouchers and connect people with nearby food banks and community kitchens.

Our support extends beyond food assistance. When you contact our Food Bank Support Office, we also assess any additional needs you may have—such as housing, benefits advice, mental health support, or domestic violence services—and connect you to the appropriate internal or external services.

If you are in crisis or facing an emergency, please reach out to us through our dedicated WhatsApp support line: +44 7538 413853. We are here to help.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community, especially Spanish and Portuguese-speaking disabled and non-disabled people, has access to nutritious food and the support they need to live with dignity. The program not only helps during emergencies but also works to improve long-term food security and promote healthy eating for all.
