community youth, child + family project

community youth, child and family project:

Rose Wallop
This project gives advice to children, young people and their parents relating to children's education and wellbeing. We assist with finding free and subsidised childcare, school and college admissions, accessing support for special educational needs, and financial support for families and students. Where we cannot help, we provide referrals and signposting to other organisations with the right resources and expertise.

Case study: Laura

Laura came to the UK in November 2022 with two daughters and a son. We helped her search for local schools and apply for an in-year admission so her children could start school as soon as possible. We liaised with the school to ask for them to waive her school meal fees while her universal credit application was being processed, and also to provide her with school uniform items. When Laura's daughter needed a computer for her studies, we referred her to a local partner organisation which loaned her a laptop.
