Me llamo Blanca Campoverde.

Mi amigo Luís me invitó a conocer Latin American Disabled People's Project.

Seguidamente, asistí a personas discapacitadas.

No puedo creerlo.

My first steps in LADPP

My name is Blanca Campoverde.

I came to the UK from Ecuador in 2013.

I have spent most of my time volunteering and studying English in various different places.

I came to Latin American Disabled People's Projects because my friend Luis invited me to visit this nice charity, and I have been a volunteer here since 2013.

Firstly, I have helped giving training with workshops about health, because I am a trained nurse.

Secondly, I was volunteering with a disabled person during this time. We have done different activities, like working on the computer, meditation and relaxation exercises. We also made necklaces out of stones and recycled pieces of plastic.

My best experience in LADPP, I think, is giving support to people, particularly disabled people, for example, by giving general information about benefits to people, as many people have difficulties.

To conclude, I am feeling much better in myself now because LADPP helps me all the time. I consider LADPP to be my second family.

If you are interested in volunteering, I would definitely recommend it, because it has been such an important opportunity for me. I can visualise my goals in the future because I'm very active, friendly, honest and motivated. Now, I can play the piano, electric guitar, and I like to write poems. My heart is open for all the world.

I can't believe it. Thanks so much for this brilliant opportunity.
